Fehmarn is a paradise for cyclists: over 300 km of well-signposted cycle paths lead through breathtaking landscapes, idyllic villages and along the coast. Start your next adventure directly from the island camp – explore the sunny island of Fehmarn comfortably on two wheels!

The most beautiful bike tours on Fehmarn

Island tour (approx. 78 km): Cycle around the entire island and experience Fehmarn's diversity up close - from the Flügge lighthouse to the cliffs.
Waterfowl route (approx. 35 km): Cycle through the Wallnau nature reserve and observe rare bird species.
Coastal route (approx. 45 km): Cycle along the fine sandy beaches and enjoy the salty sea air.

Bike rental at the island camp

Don’t feel like bringing your own bike? No problem! Our own bike rental offers a small selection of bikes for the same day or one day. For trips lasting several days or special bikes (e-bikes, bike trailers, special children’s bikes or similar), we recommend Sunnbyke or 2Rad Fehmarn bike hire. The bikes can be reserved directly online and are also brought directly to our campsite.

What cycle routes are there on Fehmarn?

Fehmarn offers over 300 kilometers of well-developed cycle paths. Popular routes include the “East Coast Route” along the cliffs, the “Sundbrücke Tour” with fantastic views and the “Bird Tour” through the Wallnau Waterfowl Reserve.

Yes, Insel-Camp Fehmarn offers a small bike rental service for bikes that can be rented for the same day. If you would like to rent special bikes (e-bikes, with trailer, children’s bikes or similar) or for several days, then we recommend the bike rental company Sunnybike or 2Rad Fehmarn. You can book your desired bike directly online and have it delivered to our campsite. It couldn’t be more convenient.  

Yes, be sure to plan a break in the island’s charming cafés and farm stores. It is also worth visiting the Flügge lighthouse, which offers a wonderful panoramic view.
