General information

Insel-Camp Fehmarn is situated in a fantastic location directly on the fine sandy southern beach of the Baltic Sea. The site offers a wonderful view of the sea and an excellent southern exposure, ideal for sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts.

Beach
The 2026 season runs from April 1 to September 27. The exact dates for the following season will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
Camping

The island camp offers both premium comfort and comfort pitches, which are characterized by different sizes. However, all pitches have the same facilities and have an electricity, water and waste water connection as well as free Wi-Fi and a satellite TV connection.

Premium comfort pitches are located in rows 1-7. facing the sea and also have a paved awning area.

Important for campers: we do not have a separate tent pitch. Campers stay on the same pitches as other campers in caravans or motorhomes and therefore pay the same price as other guests.

You can make a booking conveniently online, by telephone or by e-mail. On the website you will find an intuitive booking system that shows you availability and prices directly. You are also welcome to visit us without making a reservation or booking. This is particularly possible outside the high season and there are plenty of places available. You can also choose from various possible places on site.

Directions and Gate

You may arrive at your campsite between 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the latest. Please note that the gate is closed between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The gate is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is closed between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. and at night from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
After 10:00 p.m., you will no longer be able to drive through the gate. In that case, you can use the RV parking area in front of the gate and proceed to your regular parking spot starting at 7:00 a.m.
The “Short Stay” option is a separate booking option for shorter stays. It does not mean that check-in after 10:00 p.m. is possible—the regular check-in hours apply here as well.
If your reservation has been paid in full and you have received all the information provided in the arrival email or welcome flyer, you do not need to stop by the front desk.

Departure

Check-out is available starting at 7:00 a.m.

Please vacate your parking space by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

During the off-season and shoulder season, late check-out is available upon request. Please contact the front desk for more information.

Wi-Fi, Coworking & Services

Yes, WLAN is available on the entire site. Depending on how busy the site is, more or less bandwidth is available for each individual guest. Please make sure that you do not bring any private routers (such as Starlinks or Gigacubes) with you, as these interfere considerably with the site’s own network. To ensure a reliable and stable connection, we have set up the Beachbox, where you can work in a relaxed coworking environment.

You will receive the Wi-Fi password in your arrival email. It is also posted at the campground.
Yes, the Beachbox offers a coworking space with high-speed Starlink internet.

The Insel-Camp has a small bike rental on site and rents out bikes for one day. For a larger selection or bike tours lasting several days, we cooperate with Sunnybike or 2Radfehmarn. You can also rent bikes online or by phone in advance and they will then be brought directly to the island camp on the desired date. So you can explore the surroundings of Fehmarn in an environmentally friendly and active way. From the south beach to the cliffs, there are numerous beautiful routes directly from our campsite.

Electricity, Water, and Campsites

Yes, a 10-amp electrical hookup is included in the pitch fee. A 16-amp hookup can be added at the time of booking or on-site for an additional fee.
You can borrow the appropriate power adapters at the front desk.
Yes, all standard campsites have fresh water, wastewater, and electrical hookups.
You can discharge gray water directly at your campsite using a hose. Sewage may only be disposed of at the chemical toilet disposal station or via the CamperClean.
Yes, the parking spaces in rows one through seven are paved.
You cannot select a specific parking space directly during the online booking process. You can discuss your preferences with the front desk in advance and then enter them in the comments field of the booking.
Yes, you can use a rooftop tent on a regular campsite. There is no separate tent area.
Yes, a small, portable fence is allowed.

Restrooms & Rental Bathrooms

You may use the public restrooms. Rental and private bathrooms are available exclusively to guests who have booked them separately.
The modern, heated sanitary blocks are equipped with every comfort: family bathrooms for private hire, a baby changing room and barrier-free facilities. These ensure that all guests feel at home, regardless of their needs. Continue reading here:
Equipment
During peak season, the showers can be used until 11:00 p.m. During the off-season, they can be used until 10:00 p.m.
No, private bathrooms are not located directly at the campsite. However, you can reserve a separate rental bathroom in one of the restroom buildings.
Each rental bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a shower, and a sink. The bathrooms are accessible only to the respective tenants.
No, the rental pools are not open to the public. They must be booked separately and are available exclusively to the respective renters.
A rental bath costs 20 euros per night and is rented only on a weekly basis—from Saturday or Sunday through the following Saturday or Sunday.
Private bath and sauna options are not available through the online booking system. Please contact the front desk directly for availability and to make a reservation.
No, there is no communal kitchen at the campground.
Yes, washing machines and dryers are available for a fee.

Surfing lessons are offered in Burgtiefe, among other places, which is easily accessible from the campground. The front desk will be happy to advise you on current offerings.

In the absolute high season, there may be a minimum length of stay. At other times, such as mid or low season, bookings can also be made for stays of just one night. Alternatively, you can of course always visit us without a reservation / booking. Outside the main tourist season, we always have a nice spot for you.

Yes, overnight guests on Fehmarn are required to pay a visitor’s tax, which is paid separately to the Fehmarn Tourism Service. After payment, you will receive your personal Ostseecard, which allows you to take advantage of numerous services and discounts on the island, such as lifeguard-patrolled beaches, events, discounts, and free Wi-Fi at various hotspots.

The visitor’s tax can be conveniently paid online via an external portal or through the app (WELCMpass). Simply enter your information there, pay the visitor’s tax, and receive your digital visitor’s card. You can find the direct link to the online form here:

Cancellations are subject to the general terms and conditions of the Insel-Camp. A pro-rata refund is possible depending on the time of cancellation.
